The data service interfaces of Viking AI Search (including application\-configured search, dialogue, recommendation service calling interfaces, and dataset upload, deletion, and query interfaces) can all be authenticated using an API Key. You can create, manage, and view API Keys in the console and obtain them to construct interface authentication. # Create an API Key Log in to Viking AI Search console, go to the **API Keys** page, and click the **`Create API Key`** button to create a new API Key: ![图片](https://p9-arcosite.byteimg.com/obj/tos-cn-i-goo7wpa0wc/e65f62d68f5345a6b8c4381021c5c4b1 =3952x) When creating a key, you must specify an **API Key Name** to distinguish between different keys. You can click the **Show** button to view and copy the API Key. You can then use it to construct authentication information as described in [API Authentication Mechanism Description](https://www.volcengine.com/docs/85296/1544950). # Disable an API Key API Keys have two statuses: active and disabled. * **Active status:** The API Key can be used for API authentication. The API Key is active by default after creation. * **Disabled status:** Authentication is prohibited. Using a disabled API Key will return an **HTTP 401 status code**, indicating an authentication failure. If you detect abnormal call volumes from a service using Viking AI Search or suspect an API Key has been leaked, you can log in to the console to **temporarily disable** it.
