Before using the data synchronization feature, you need to ensure network connectivity between the data integration resource group and the database. You can choose an appropriate network solution based on the network environment where the database is located to achieve connectivity. This document introduces the available network connectivity solutions for databases in different network environments.
Datasource connectivity in the DataSail data integration platform is based on the network connectivity between each datasource and the exclusive integration resource group. If the accessed datasource and the current exclusive integration resource group are bound to different VPCs (for example, the datasource is bound to another VPC or a local IDC), you need to choose an appropriate network connectivity solution according to the specific network scenario to enable communication between the VPC bound to the exclusive integration resource group and the network where the datasource resides.
For example, in the data synchronization process, the VPC network bound to the resource group must be connected to both the data source and the data destination.
An exclusive integration resource group of suitable specifications has been purchased. For purchase details, see: Exclusive Integrated Resource Group Management.
The exclusive data integration resource group can connect to datasources in public networks, private networks (VPC), and local IDC network environments. Refer to the following connectivity solutions for each applicable scenario:
Applicable scenarios | Network connectivity solutions |
|---|---|
The database and the data integration resource group are in the same VPC network |
|
Self-hosted database on public network | The VPC bound to the data integration resource group must enable public network access. For specific actions, see Enable public network for Resource Group VPC. |
Datasource located in local IDC | Establish a high-speed, low-latency, stable, and secure dedicated connection channel between the user's local data center (IDC) and the cloud private network (VPC) via Direct Connect. This supports interconnection between multiple local IDCs and multiple cloud VPCs. For detailed instructions, see Direct Connect getting started guide. |
