关于Kiwi TCMS中Test Suite创建位置及入口的咨询

Hey there! I’ve stumbled on this exact confusion when I first started using Kiwi TCMS, so let me walk you through this clearly:

First off, the "New Suite" button doesn’t live on the Test Cases page—Kiwi TCMS keeps test suite management separate from individual test cases, which is where the mix-up happens. Here’s where you can actually find it:

  • Option 1: Directly via the Test Suites page
Look for the Test Suites option in the top navigation bar (it’s usually right next to Test Cases). Once you’re on this page, you’ll see the prominent New Suite button at the top, near the search bar. When creating, just select your target project from the dropdown to tie the suite to it.

  • Option 2: From your project’s detail page
If you’re already in your project’s overview (after step 3 in your workflow), look for the Test Suites link in the left sidebar menu. Clicking this will take you to the list of suites for that specific project, and the New Suite button will be at the top of this list page too.

A common gotcha to check:

If you still can’t see the New Suite button anywhere, it’s almost certainly a permissions issue. Kiwi TCMS restricts suite creation to specific user roles—default roles like Guest don’t have this permission, while Tester, Maintainer, or Admin roles do. Reach out to your Kiwi TCMS admin to verify your account’s role and permissions if this is the case.

I hope this clears things up—you’ll have your test suites set up in no time!
