grid.arrange布局时轴文本被裁剪的问题分析与解决
问题原因
grid.arrange默认会强制对齐所有子图的绘图面板(panel),为了保证面板尺寸一致,会压缩子图的整体分配空间,导致轴文本、标题等面板外的元素超出分配边界,最终被裁剪。- ggplot的
plot.background是整个图表(含轴文本、标题等外围元素)的背景框,但grid.arrange在布局时默认只以面板尺寸为基准计算空间,没有预留足够区域容纳外围元素,所以这些元素会跑到背景框外面。
解决方法1:让轴文本处于绘图区域内
通过调整ggplot主题参数,将轴文本纳入绘图区域范围:
- 调整轴文本边距,往绘图区域内偏移:设置
axis.text的margin为负数,让文本靠近面板 - 缩小轴文本尺寸:减少文本占用的空间
- 增加绘图区域内边距:给外围元素预留空间

更推荐的方式是让布局工具考虑子图的完整尺寸(含所有外围元素),而非仅对齐面板:
2.1 使用patchwork包(现代布局工具,推荐)
patchwork会自动处理每个子图的空间需求,无需手动调整即可避免裁剪:
