I’ve always been able to drag images directly into the res/drawable folder in Android Studio without any problems, but suddenly this feature stopped working. Every time I try to drag an image file into the directory, a red border pops up and prevents the drop from completing.

I’m running Android Studio 3.1.1 (build #AI-173.4697961, released April 3, 2018) on macOS High Sierra. Oddly enough, this issue happens even when I create a brand new Android project—it’s not limited to my existing projects.

Has anyone else run into this exact problem? I’d love to hear about any fixes or workarounds you’ve found!
