Hey folks, wanted to share my current setup with KIE Workbench 6.5.0 and KIE Server 6.5.0, along with a BPMN process I’ve built:

Current Environment & Setup #

• I’m using KIE Workbench 6.5.0 and KIE Server 6.5.0, with a repository and project already created and configured.
• Within the business process module, I’ve developed a new BPMN flow that includes a Rest Service node—this is the core of my integration with an external API.

Rest Service Node Configuration #

For the Rest Service node, I’ve filled out all necessary details to interact with the external API:

• Specified the exact REST API URL
• Selected the appropriate request method (like POST or GET)
• Defined the request content and set the correct content type (e.g., application/json)

Response Storage #

Once the API call completes, the response is stored as an object in a KIE Workbench variable named bpmResponse. Here’s a snippet of what that response looks like:
