I'm stuck trying to install the glmmADMB package in R and could really use some guidance here. I've reached out to colleagues who regularly use R, but none of them could help me resolve this issue.

The error seems linked to special characters in my directory path—my Windows default user folder is named Vanessa's PC, which includes an apostrophe. I can't rename this folder since it's the system-default user directory, and I'm not entirely sure this is the root cause because other R scripts that use this exact path have run without any problems.

Has anyone encountered a similar installation problem with glmmADMB specifically when there's an apostrophe in the user folder name? Or do you have any other theories about what might be causing the failure?
