iOS Background Fetch低电量(低于40%)失效问题技术问询
Background Fetch Fails on Low Battery (Even With Low Power Mode Disabled)
Hey folks, we’ve been troubleshooting a tricky Background Fetch issue lately, and here’s our key findings:
When a device’s battery is running low, Background Fetch stops working regardless of whether Low Power Mode is turned on or off. We haven’t locked in an exact battery threshold yet because it varies across devices:
- Some test devices started failing when battery dropped below 28%
- Others hit this problem as high as 39%
- We didn’t observe any failures in test cases where the battery was at 40% or higher
Just to be clear: we’re not concerned about Low Power Mode itself causing this. That mode is designed to suspend Background Fetch for apps by default, which is expected behavior. The oddity here is that Background Fetch breaks purely based on low battery level, even when Low Power Mode isn’t active.
