  1. Close Android Studio completely
  2. Either delete the cache folder at C:\Users\[Your Username]\.AndroidStudio3.1\system\caches, or
  3. Open AS while holding Shift + Ctrl + Alt, then select Invalidate Caches / Restart → Invalidate and Restart

• Run AS as Administrator
  Sometimes restricted permissions prevent AS from launching external programs. Right-click the Android Studio shortcut, select Run as administrator, then try the Show in Explorer function again.

• Upgrade or Downgrade AS
  This was a known bug in 3.1.0. If the above fixes don’t work, you can either roll back to the stable 3.0.1 version, or upgrade to a later stable release (like 3.2.0 or higher) where this issue was addressed.
