MS Graph调用获取Excel工作表图表接口失败,请求协助排查

MS Graph API: GET /workbook/worksheets/{id|name}/charts Throws Unexpected GeneralException

Hey there, I’ve successfully reproduced this exact issue on my end over the last couple of days. Just like you described, this endpoint was working perfectly fine a week ago, but now it’s consistently returning that internal error no matter which worksheet or chart type I target.

Here’s what I’ve tested so far to confirm it’s not an isolated issue:

  • Tried accessing charts in Excel files stored in both OneDrive for Business and SharePoint Online
  • Tested with every major chart type (bar, line, pie, area, scatter) across multiple worksheets
  • Double-checked that my access token has the required Files.ReadWrite.All and Sites.ReadWrite.All permissions (even tried using a new app registration to rule out permission corruption)
  • Verified there were no reported outages on the Microsoft 365 Service Health page during my testing

For an urgent workaround if you need chart data right now, I found that targeting individual charts works reliably:

  • Use GET /workbook/worksheets/{id|name}/charts/{chart-id} to fetch details for a single chart at a time
  • If you need a list of all charts first, you can pull the charts navigation property directly from the worksheet response returned by GET /workbook/worksheets/{id|name}—this includes basic metadata like chart IDs and titles

I’d suggest submitting a support ticket through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, including the request IDs from your error responses (like ea42895c-1b98-4d34-baf3-6c544f2ff81c). This looks like a service-side regression that Microsoft’s engineering team will need to investigate and fix.
