Eclipse中Java JADE初学者类未找到错误的解决办法

Recently I've been working on a project that uses JADE—got the jar packages added to the project, set up the run configurations to launch the GUI and run the code without issues. But earlier, I kept hitting a "Class Not Found" error every time I tried to create an Agent through the JADE GUI. After some troubleshooting, I finally figured out the fix and wanted to share it for other JADE beginners who might run into the same problem!

The Root Cause & Solution #

The mistake was super simple but easy to miss: when specifying the agent class name in the Agent Details window, you have to include the full package path along with the class name, not just the class name alone.

For example, if your agent class is located in the package com.myproject.agents and named MyFirstAgent, you can't just enter MyFirstAgent in the class name field. You need to input the full qualified name: com.myproject.agents.MyFirstAgent.
