Here's my issue: I'm trying to install the JDK 8 bundle that includes NetBeans on my Windows 10 machine, since I need it for Java SE and JavaFX development. The installer goes through all the configuration steps smoothly, but right after that, it just exits out of nowhere—no error messages, no popups, no warning prompts of any kind. The only hint I have is that it generates a log file when it quits.

Has anyone run into this kind of silent failure with this specific installer before? Or could someone walk me through how to dig into that log file to figure out what's causing the crash?
