TYPO3 8.7.9兼容的Extension Builder扩展获取及安装咨询

Absolutely, there is a version of Extension Builder fully compatible with TYPO3 8.7 LTS (including your 8.7.9 instance) — it just isn’t the "latest" tagged release anymore, so you’ll need to grab it manually. Here’s how to find and install it:

Where to Get the Compatible Version #

• GitHub Repository Historical Branches: The official Extension Builder repo maintains version-specific branches for older TYPO3 LTS releases. For TYPO3 8.7, look for the 8.7 branch. You can download the source code directly as a ZIP file from this branch, or check the repository’s tags for stable releases tagged for 8.7 (e.g., tags starting with v8.7.x).
• TYPO3 Extension Repository (TER) Archive: The TER also keeps archives of older extension versions. Search for "extension_builder" in the TER, then navigate to the "Versions" tab to find releases marked as compatible with TYPO3 8.7. These can be downloaded directly as ZIP packages for manual installation.

Manual Installation Steps #

1. Download the ZIP package of the Extension Builder version that explicitly lists TYPO3 8.7 compatibility.
2. Extract the contents into your TYPO3 installation’s typo3conf/ext/ directory, ensuring the folder name remains extension_builder.
3. Log into your TYPO3 backend, go to the Extension Manager (or "Extensions" module in 8.7’s terminology), locate Extension Builder in the list, and click the "Activate" button.

Quick Heads-Up #

TYPO3 8.7 LTS reached its end-of-life in April 2021, and the corresponding Extension Builder version won’t receive any further updates or security patches. If your project allows, planning an upgrade to a more recent supported LTS version (like 11 or 12) would be a better long-term choice for security and feature support.
