Gentics Mesh中MeshRestClient执行GraphQL查询报错,API版本路径问题

Fixing GraphQL Validation Errors with MeshRestClient

Recently I ran into a pair of tricky GraphQL validation errors when using MeshRestClient to execute a query, and here's how I worked through resolving them:

First, here were the exact error messages I encountered:

{ "errors": [ { "message": "Validation error of type InvalidFragmentType: Fragment cannot be spread here as objects of type Node can never be of type teaching @ 'node/children/elements'", "type": "ValidationError", "locations": [ { "line": 1, "column": 288 } ] }, { "message": "Validation error of type FieldUndefined: Field 'fields' in type 'teaching' is undefined @ 'node/children/elements/fields'", "type": "ValidationError", "locations": [ { "line": 1, "column": 315 } ] } ] }

The confusing part? The exact same GraphQL request worked flawlessly in Postman. After some targeted troubleshooting, I uncovered the root cause:

  • MeshRestClient defaults to sending requests to the /api/v1 endpoint
  • When I tested the same query in Postman against /api/v1, I replicated the exact same validation errors
  • Switching the Postman request to use /api/v2 made all errors vanish immediately

The solution is simple: force your MeshRestClient instance to use the /api/v2 endpoint instead of the default /api/v1.

The exact steps to update this depend on how you're initializing your client, but generally you'll need to adjust the base URL configuration to point to the /api/v2 path rather than the default /api/v1 endpoint.
