直接在item字段的约束中添加自定义验证器即可，Grails的域类字段验证器闭包支持访问当前实例的所有字段，刚好适配你的场景。

如果需要友好的校验错误提示，可在项目的messages.properties文件中添加如下配置：

Report.item.requiredWhenProductY=当product字段值为'y'时，item字段不允许为空
