1. Headings
Use number signs (#) to define heading levels:
Level 1 Heading
Level 2 Heading
Level 3 Heading
2. List Items
Start each list item with a dash (-):
- First list item
- Second list item
- Nested sub-item (indent with 2 spaces)
- Third list item with emphasized details
3. Emphasized Text
Wrap text with asterisks (*) for emphasis:
- Italicized text (single asterisks)
- Bold text (double asterisks for stronger emphasis)
4. Code/Commands
Surround code snippets or terminal commands with backticks (`):
To check your Node.js version, run node --version.
For multi-line code blocks, use three backticks:
cd /user/projects npm install npm start
5. Quoted Text
Prefix quoted content with greater than signs (>):
"The only way to do great work is to love what you do." - Steve Jobs
Multi-line quotes work by adding
>to each line:
This is the second line of the quote
And here’s the third line.
6. Links
Format links as [link text](URL):
