Git操作失误致VS Code检测大量无关未保存变更求助
Hey folks, I'm stuck on a weird Git issue and could use some help figuring out what went wrong.
Here's the breakdown of what's been happening:
- VS Code's built-in Git has been constantly showing tons of unstaged changes, even though I've committed all changes related to my actual project. This has been confusing me for a while.
- Frustrated today, I opened the terminal and ran
git add -A && git commit -m "Your Message". The command ran for 5-10 minutes, processing a huge amount of content—including random apps, downloaded files, and other stuff totally unrelated to my code. I even saw some permission denied errors during this process. - Now, every time I start a new project, VS Code's Git keeps trying to track all these random system files, not just my project files.
- I'm tempted to delete all these changes, but I'm scared clicking "Delete" will actually remove the local files on my computer (which I definitely don't want to do).
I have no idea where I messed up—did I accidentally initialize Git in the wrong directory? Or is there some VS Code setting that's causing this? I can share screenshots of VS Code's Git panel and terminal output if that helps.
