Rails使用AWS SES发送数千封邮件时应用离线（错误码524）

问题根源 #

524是Cloudflare的超时错误，触发原因是你的Rails请求主线程同步执行数千封邮件发送操作，耗时远超Cloudflare默认的100秒响应阈值，导致请求被中断；同时同步循环长时间占用应用线程，使得应用无法处理其他请求，最终引发离线。此外当前实现还有两个额外性能问题：

• 每次发送邮件都新建Aws::SES::Client实例，重复建立连接增加资源开销
• 逐个调用send_email接口，API调用次数过多效率低下

解决方案 #

1. 改用异步任务处理（核心修复） #

把邮件发送逻辑从请求主线程移到后台异步任务，避免阻塞请求。Rails自带的Active Job结合Sidekiq/Resque即可实现：

步骤1：生成异步Job
