Hey everyone, we're stuck with a critical issue on our Android and iOS app—one that's had Facebook Login integrated and running smoothly for years, until recently when Facebook disabled the functionality citing:

During Login, your app is crashing or hanging excessively

We’ve done initial troubleshooting and the problem doesn’t appear to come from our app’s source code—it’s tied directly to our Facebook app configuration. Here’s what we’ve observed so far:

• When logging in with the Facebook app’s developer/admin account, we get an Unsupported request error returned straight from Facebook.
• When using any other Facebook account (including official Facebook test accounts), we hit the error: "App Not Setup: This app is still in development mode...."

To add context, this app has been live and stable for years—this problem only popped up out of nowhere. We also noticed a strange behavior in the Facebook App Dashboard’s Permissions and Features section:

• The email and public profile permissions are currently set to Standard Access. When we try to switch them to Advanced Access, the system prompts us for our password but doesn’t actually update the permission level—it stays stuck on Standard Access.

We’re using the latest versions of the Facebook SDK for both Android and iOS.

Has anyone run into similar issues before? We’d really appreciate any insights or troubleshooting steps to get this sorted out.
