如何获取超过45天的ADF管道1月历史运行日志?
Retrieve Historical ADF Pipeline Run Logs (Older Than 45 Days)
Core Limitations & Eligibility
- Built-in ADF Monitoring: Only retains logs for the last 45 days. If your January logs fall outside this window, you can’t retrieve them through this tool.
- Azure Data Factory Analytics (Powered by Log Analytics): Can access historical logs only if you enabled Diagnostic Settings for your ADF instance to send logs to a Log Analytics workspace before January 1st. Logs are collected from the moment you enable the setting—no retroactive data capture is possible.
Step-by-Step Process to Query Historical Logs via Log Analytics
1. Verify Diagnostic Settings Were Active in January
- Go to your Azure Data Factory resource in the Azure Portal.
- Navigate to Monitoring > Diagnostic settings (left sidebar).
- Check for an existing setting that includes the
PipelineRunslog category and sends data to a Log Analytics workspace. Confirm the setting’s creation date is prior to January 1st.
2. Access the Linked Log Analytics Workspace
- From the Diagnostic Settings page, click the workspace name to open it directly.
- Alternatively, search for Log Analytics workspaces in the Azure Portal and select the relevant workspace.
3. Run a Kusto Query to Fetch January Pipeline Runs
- In the workspace, go to Logs (left sidebar).
- Use this Kusto query to filter runs from your target January period (adjust the year as needed):
ADFPipelineRuns | where TimeGenerated between (datetime(2024-01-01 00:00:00) .. datetime(2024-01-31 23:59:59)) | project PipelineName, RunId, Status, StartTime, EndTime, DurationMs, ErrorMessage | sort by StartTime desc
- Modify the
projectclause to include additional fields (e.g.,TriggerName) based on your needs.
4. Export or Analyze Results
- Use the Export button at the top of the results pane to save logs as CSV, Excel, or send to Power BI.
- Add Kusto operators like
summarizeorfilterto analyze run trends, failure rates, or bottlenecks.
If Diagnostic Settings Were Not Enabled in January
If you didn’t configure diagnostic logs before January, there’s no way to retrieve those historical pipeline run logs via Azure’s built-in tools. ADF does not retain logs beyond the 45-day window unless explicitly configured to send them to an external store (Log Analytics, Storage Account, Event Hub) before the logs are generated.
