RubyMine配置Docker Compose远程SDK启动失败问题求助

Fixing "Duplicate mount points" Error in RubyMine Docker Compose Integration

I've run into this exact issue before with RubyMine's Docker Compose integration, and it boils down to the IDE auto-generating override files that duplicate your volume mounts. Here are a few proven fixes:

1. Disable Auto-Generated Override Files

This is the quickest fix if you don't need RubyMine to auto-add any extra configurations:

  • Open your Run/Debug Configurations (click the dropdown next to the run button and select "Edit Configurations...")
  • Find your Docker Compose configuration in the list
  • Switch to the Services tab
  • Uncheck the box labeled Auto-generate docker-compose.override.yml
  • Save the configuration and try running again

2. Use a Manual Override File (Instead of Auto-Generated Ones)

If you need custom overrides but want to avoid duplicates:

  • Delete all auto-generated docker-compose.override.[number].yml files in your project directory
  • Create a manual docker-compose.override.yml file and add only the custom configurations you need (e.g., additional port mappings, environment variables) — make sure you don't repeat the volume mount that's already in your main docker-compose.yml
  • Go back to your RubyMine Run/Debug Configurations, switch to the Docker Compose tab
  • In the Compose files section, add your manual docker-compose.override.yml (remove any references to the auto-generated ones if they're listed)

3. Check Remote Interpreter Volume Mappings

Sometimes the duplicate mounts come from the remote SDK configuration instead:

  • Go to File → Settings → Languages & Frameworks → Ruby SDK and Gems
  • Select your Docker Compose-based remote SDK
  • Look at the Volume mappings section — if you see the same /home/kyrela/railsproject:/railsproject:rw mount listed here, remove it (since it's already defined in your docker-compose file)

The reason docker-compose up works in the terminal is that it only uses your main docker-compose.yml (and any manual override files you explicitly specify), whereas RubyMine automatically injects its auto-generated override file which duplicates the volume mount, causing the conflict.
