I’m looking for a viable solution to set a minimum order amount based on the city from the shipping address—and this needs to function specifically on the checkout page (not the cart page).

Background & Context #

• I successfully built this exact feature back in PrestaShop 1.6, but now I’m stuck getting it to work on version 1.7.7.1
• The checkout page requirement is non-negotiable; the logic can’t run on the cart page instead

What I’ve Tried (And Why It Didn’t Work) #

• I attempted to override the CartPresenter class, but couldn’t find a way to tie city-based minimums to the checkout flow effectively
• I bought a module that handles country-based minimum order amounts, then modified it to target cities instead. Unfortunately, the modified module is extremely unstable and fails to run reliably
• The module’s support team told me this would require rewriting core Symfony code in PrestaShop, which would disrupt the entire order process and is typically hard to implement without breaking other parts of the system

This feels like a real challenge for any developer willing to tackle it—any guidance, workarounds, or implementation ideas would be massively appreciated!
