Django现有模型新增author字段后迁移及后台报错求助

一、迁移报错的处理方法 #

执行python3 manage.py makemigrations books时出现如下提示：

You are trying to add a non-nullable field 'author' to books without a default; we can't do that (the database needs something to populate existing rows).
Please select a fix:

1. Provide a one-off default now (will be set on all existing rows with a null value for this column)
2. Quit, and let me add a default in models.py
   Select an option:

有两种解决路径：

方案1：临时设置全局默认值 #

选择选项1，输入一个默认值（比如字符串"Unknown"），Django会自动为所有已存在的books记录填充该值，之后执行python3 manage.py migrate books完成迁移。

方案2：修改模型字段配置 #

选择选项2退出，修改books/models.py中的author字段：

• 添加默认值（适合业务要求字段非空的场景）：

  author = models.CharField(max_length=100, default="Unknown")
  

• 允许字段为空（适合业务允许author字段暂时为空的场景）：

  author = models.CharField(max_length=100, null=True, blank=True)
  

保存修改后，重新执行python3 manage.py makemigrations books和python3 manage.py migrate books。

二、Admin后台报错的修复 #

迁移完成后Admin后台点击books报错，通常是Admin配置未同步字段变更：

• 修改books/admin.py，确保BookAdmin类的字段配置包含author，比如：

  from django.contrib import admin
  from .models import Book
  
  class BookAdmin(admin.ModelAdmin):
      list_display = ('title', 'author', 'publish_date')  # 确认包含author字段
  
  admin.site.register(Book, BookAdmin)
  

• 重启Django服务器，刷新Admin页面即可。
