问题重现 #

我定义了这样的Subject模型：

原本通过const subject = await Subject.find({ _id: id });可以正常查询文档，但当我尝试用$elemMatch投影只返回chapters数组中heading等于"H 1"的元素时，执行下面的代码抛出了错误：

错误原因 #

MongoDB不支持在嵌套对象的投影中直接嵌套$elemMatch语法。你当前的写法把syllabus作为一个完整的投影对象，然后在里面定义chapters的$elemMatch，这种结构不符合MongoDB的投影规则——$elemMatch作为投影操作符，需要直接绑定到目标数组字段的路径上，而不是嵌套在父对象的投影定义里。

正确实现方式 #

根据你的需求，有两种方案可选：

方案1：使用点路径指定投影（仅返回第一个匹配的数组元素）

如果只需要返回chapters数组中第一个匹配heading: "H 1"的元素，可以直接用点符号指定数组字段的投影：

const subject = await Subject.find(
  { _id: id },
  { "syllabus.chapters": { $elemMatch: { heading: "H 1" } }, title: 1, "syllabus.currentChapter": 1 }
);

注意：这里显式指定了title和syllabus.currentChapter为1，确保这些字段也会被返回（默认投影如果只指定部分字段，其他字段会被排除）。

方案2：使用聚合管道的$filter（返回所有匹配的数组元素）

如果需要返回chapters数组中所有匹配heading: "H 1"的元素，$elemMatch无法满足，需要用聚合管道的$filter操作符：
