Hey everyone, I've hit a super strange Windows Forms issue that's stumped me and my whole team—hoping someone here has seen something similar before!

My Environment #

• Local setup: Visual Studio 2022 Community Edition + .NET 4.8
• Tested alternative: Visual Studio 2019 Professional + .NET 4.6.1 (same exact problem occurs)
• Devices tested: My old laptop, a brand new laptop, and even an AWS EC2 Instance—issue persists across all

What's Happening #

1. When I first clone a new Feature branch from Git locally, the app runs perfectly: the main Windows Form displays fully, and all controls (buttons, dropdowns, file selectors, etc.) are accessible and work as expected.
2. The second I add any new control to this form (even just a basic Button), everything breaks on the next app launch:
   • The form gets cut off halfway, and none of the controls are reachable
   • Maximizing the window does nothing to fix the truncated display
3. When I check the Designer code, I notice the modified file has major structural changes compared to the original. I have examples ready: screenshots of the form before/after the issue, plus a side-by-side comparison of the Designer code.

What I've Tried So Far #

• A teammate uses the exact same codebase and can add controls without any issues whatsoever
• When he compiles my code (which works fine on his system) and sends me the executable, running it on my end still causes the same truncated form problem
• Switched multiple physical devices and even tested on a cloud instance—no luck, the problem follows me everywhere

We're all completely confused, since none of us have encountered this behavior before. Any insights or suggestions would be massively appreciated!
