我习惯保留大型Git仓库的本地副本，仅包含提交历史，需要时才下载Blob（即无Blob克隆）。根据git-clone(1)文档：

"--filter=blob:none会过滤所有Blob（文件内容），直到Git需要时再下载"

对比完整克隆与无Blob克隆的Linux仓库大小：

$ git clone https://github.com/torvalds/linux.git
$ du -s linux/.git
5524724 linux/.git

$ git clone --filter=blob:none https://github.com/torvalds/linux.git linux-blobless
$ du -s linux-blobless/.git
2040204 linux-blobless/.git

执行检出旧标签操作后，仓库下载了额外Blob，体积增大：

$ git -C linux-blobless checkout v5.11
$ du -s linux-blobless/.git
2217700 linux-blobless/.git

回到主分支后这些新增Blob仍留存，希望清理多余数据，恢复到仅保留当前HEAD所需Blob的初始无Blob克隆状态。

解决方案 #

要清理未被当前HEAD引用的Blob并恢复初始状态，执行以下步骤：

1. 切换到目标分支 #

确保当前处于你想保留的分支（比如main或master）：

git checkout main

2. 清理未被引用的对象 #

使用git gc清理所有未被当前分支引用的松散对象和Blob，--prune=now会立即删除过期对象：

git gc --prune=now --aggressive

3. 重新打包并应用Blob过滤 #

通过git repack重新打包仓库对象，并指定--filter=blob:none规则，确保仅保留当前HEAD依赖的Blob：

git repack -ad --filter=blob:none

验证结果 #

执行完上述命令后，再次检查仓库大小，应该能回到初始无Blob克隆的状态：

du -s .git
