Kotest中shouldThrowWithMessage校验异常结果不符合预期问题

问题原因 #

你遇到的问题核心在于两个关键点：

• withClue 配合 shouldBe 断言失败时，实际抛出的异常是 io.kotest.assertions.AssertionFailedError，而非你指定的 AssertionError。
• AssertionFailedError 的错误消息并非单纯的 "whatever"，而是拼接了clue和断言失败的详细信息（即 "whatever\nexpected:<1> but was:<0>"）。

你代码里的 shouldThrowWithMessage<AssertionError>("whatever") 既指定了错误的异常类型，又要求匹配不完整的消息，导致验证失败，最终抛出的顶层 AssertionError 是测试框架自身的验证失败提示，而非你业务代码抛出的异常。

解决方案 #

方案1：捕获正确的异常类型并匹配完整消息

直接指定捕获 AssertionFailedError，并匹配完整的错误消息：
