Karate框架Retry until条件不满足报错问题求助

使用Karate做API测试时，设置了retry until条件但始终不满足，测试代码如下：

Feature: some feature...
Scenario: some scenario...
    * configure retry = {count: 5, interval: 5000}

    # Given endpoint
    Given path 'orders'
    And retry until response.orders == [] && responseStatus == 200
    When method GET
    Then status 200

执行测试时触发错误：

retry condition not satisfied: response.orders == [] && responseStatus == 200

尝试改用response.orders == '#[0]'作为判断条件，仍得到相同错误；尝试response.orders.length == 0时，触发新错误：

Cannot read property "length" from undefined

API正常响应内容为：

{
   "id": null,
   "orders": []
}

问题原因 #

核心问题是**retry until的放置位置错误**：

• Karate的retry until指令必须紧跟在When或Then之后，作用是重试前面的请求操作。你把它放在Given步骤之后，此时还没有发送任何请求，response和responseStatus都是undefined，所以第一次条件判断就失败，且不会触发后续的请求重试。
• 这也是为什么用response.orders.length == 0会报“Cannot read property 'length' from undefined”的原因——初始状态下response根本不存在。

修正方案 #

把retry until移到When method GET之后，同时调整空数组的判断方式（Karate推荐用#[]匹配空数组），修正后的代码如下：

Feature: some feature...
Scenario: some scenario...
    * configure retry = {count: 5, interval: 5000}

    # Given endpoint
    Given path 'orders'
    When method GET
    And retry until response.orders == '#[]' && responseStatus == 200
    Then status 200

也可以用karate.sizeOf()方法判断数组长度：

And retry until karate.sizeOf(response.orders) == 0 && responseStatus == 200
