Spring Boot运行报错：Basic collection元素类型非已知基础类型

运行mvn spring-boot:run时触发如下错误：

Basic collection has element type 'uk.ac.rhul.cs2800.model.Grade' which is not a known basic type (attribute is not annotated '@ElementCollection', '@OneToMany', or '@ManyToMany')

本人首次接触Spring及持久化技术，完成大学作业时遇到此问题，自我检查Grade实体的关联注解后未发现问题，无法定位错误原因。

错误原因分析 #

这个错误并非Grade类本身的注解问题，而是其他关联实体类（比如Student或Module）中存在类型为Collection<Grade>的属性，但未正确标注JPA关联注解。

比如：如果Student类里定义了List<Grade> grades字段，却没加@OneToMany注解，JPA会默认把这个集合当成基础类型集合处理，但Grade是实体类而非基础类型，因此抛出该错误。

解决步骤 #

1. 检查关联实体类的集合注解

   • 打开Student类（Grade中通过@ManyToOne关联了Student），如果存在Grade集合字段，必须添加@OneToMany(mappedBy = "student")注解，mappedBy的值对应Grade类里的student属性名，示例：

     @Entity
     public class Student {
         // 其他字段...
         @OneToMany(mappedBy = "student")
         private List<Grade> grades;
         // getter/setter...
     }
     

   • 打开Module类，Grade中是@OneToOne关联Module，因此Module中如果有Grade属性，应该用@OneToOne(mappedBy = "module")，不能用集合类型（一对一关联对应单个实体，而非集合）。

2. 补充Grade类的无参构造
   JPA要求所有实体类必须提供无参构造方法，当前Grade类只有带参构造，需要添加：

   public Grade() {
       // 空构造，供Hibernate实例化使用
   }
   

3. 确认实体扫描范围
   确保所有实体类（Grade、Student、Module）都添加了@Entity注解，且所在包被Spring Boot的组件扫描路径覆盖（默认主启动类所在包及其子包都会被扫描）。
