Reset the folder view
Sometimes corrupted view settings cause weird display bugs. Right-click the problematic folder, select View Settings, then hit Reset Current View. Confirm the reset, and the folder should go back to its default display state—this often clears up duplicate-looking entries.
Fix conversation grouping issues
Even if your emails aren’t duplicates, tiny differences (like extra spaces in the subject line, or minor recipient changes) can make Outlook group them into the same conversation incorrectly. Try selecting the messed-up conversation, go to the View tab, click Split Conversation in the Conversation group, then re-merge it if needed. This can reset how Outlook associates the messages.
