关于获取Ubuntu 22.04英文可引导DVD及德国地区支持英文individual installation的可引导DVD的技术问询

Hey there! Let's walk through how you can get a bootable Ubuntu 22.04 DVD that supports English "individual (custom) installation" while you're in Germany:

• Burn your own DVD (most reliable and budget-friendly option)
The official Ubuntu 22.04 LTS ISO file works globally, and the standard desktop version includes both English installation support and the individual/custom installation option (where you can manually partition disks, select specific packages, etc.).

  • Quick steps:
    1. Download the official Ubuntu 22.04 LTS desktop ISO (the default download is the English version).
    2. Use a tool like brasero (if you're on a Linux system) or ImgBurn (for Windows) to burn the ISO to a blank DVD at a low speed—this helps avoid burn errors that can break bootability.
    3. When you boot from the DVD, select English as your language right at the start. This will switch the entire installation process to English, including the individual installation workflow.

• Order a pre-burned DVD from German retailers
While Ubuntu's free DVD shipment program is no longer running, you can find third-party vendors in Germany (both online and in local tech shops) that sell pre-burned Ubuntu DVDs. When ordering, make sure to explicitly ask for the English Ubuntu 22.04 LTS version—this guarantees the installation process will default to English, and the individual installation option will be available. Check platforms like Amazon.de or local tech marketplaces; just double-check the product description confirms English language support for setup.

• Key note on regional flexibility
Even if you're based in Germany, choosing English during installation lets you mix and match settings: you can still select a German keyboard layout or regional formats (like date/currency) while keeping the installation and system interface in English. The individual installation feature is part of the standard ISO, so it won't be restricted by your location.

If you're concerned about download speeds in Germany, you can use a local Ubuntu mirror to grab the ISO faster—just know the content will be identical to the official version, with full support for English custom installation.
